About your work at Convins....
What is your position & What does an average workday at Convins look like?
Every workday I start quietly. I always arrive at the office 15 minutes early so that I can start my day in peace. While the rest of the world is still warming up, I eat my regular breakfast: a banana and a tangerine. It's my moment to reflect and prepare for what's to come. As soon as the clock strikes 8:30 a.m., I am ready. My job as an IT acquirer is all about making calls, setting appointments and discovering new opportunities.
What do you enjoy most about your position at Convins?
What I like most about my job, without a doubt, is the challenge. Every day is different, and that keeps it exciting. I'm involved in different projects, so you never have the exact same conversations. The variety of people, companies and situations ensures that no day is the same. That dynamic makes the work not only interesting, but also challenging. It's the constant change and the chance to challenge myself over and over again that motivates me every day.
How do you experience the team at Convins?
I experience the team at work as incredibly supportive and collegial. We all work on different projects, but there is always good cooperation and open communication. Everyone has their own expertise, and that creates a nice balance in which we complement each other. If I run into something, I can always count on the help of my colleagues, and vice versa it is the same. It is nice to work in an environment where we not only support each other professionally, but also have a good personal connection. That makes the work not only productive, but also enjoyable.
Now something more personal...
What are your hobbies?
My hobbies are pretty simple, but very important to me. I am a big fan of soccer - both playing it myself and watching it. It gives me a nice, energetic outlet. In addition, spending time with friends is something I really enjoy. Just being together, having a chat, playing a game or having a drink. It's that relaxed time with friends that really helps me recharge for the next day.
What is your work background?
My work background is quite varied. I once started at Albert Heijn, where I learned how to deal with customers and work in a team. Then I helped a friend in logistics, which gave me insight into the practical side of business. Then, through school, I became increasingly involved in sales, where I further developed my commercial skills. These different experiences helped me gain a broad view of the field and find my way in the world of sales and acquisition.
What are your dreams/ambitions?
My ambition is to continue to grow at Convins. I am motivated to further develop myself, learn new skills and take on more and more responsibility within the company. I want to contribute to the success of the team and expand my role in the organization so that I continue to grow both personally and professionally.
Which 2 items would you take with you to a desert island?
Phone and PlayStation.
Now just a little sporty...
Do you practice a sport and to what extent does this affect your drive/performance in the workplace?
Currently I am not practicing any sports because I am sitting at home with a torn ankle ligament. It is a temporary step back, but I have always been active in sports, especially soccer. I played for v.v. De Meern for many years and was even called up several times for training with FC Utrecht. I also did an internship at the KNVB, which taught me a lot about the sport and the level at which it is played. Although I cannot be active for a while now, I continue to follow my passion for soccer and look forward to the moment I can be on the field again. It definitely helps me in the workplace. I always stay focused and sharp in the workplace.
Suppose you get to pick one workout for the rest of your life, which one will you choose and why?
My biggest dream is to keep playing soccer all my life. Soccer is more than a sport for me; it is a passion that always energizes me. The moment I'm on the field, I really feel in my element. Whether at v.v. De Meern, or during my internships at FC Utrecht and the KNVB, those experiences have shaped me and only increased my love for the game. Even though I now have a torn ankle ligament, the ambition to always keep playing soccer is something I will not lose sight of. It is my dream to be on a field for as long as possible and continue to experience the game, regardless of age.
