About your work at Convins....
What is your position & What does an average workday at Convins look like?
My position at Convins is Commercial Office Employee. When I arrive at the office, I start with a delicious cup of coffee and start up my computer. I always start with my e-mail to see if there are any urgent matters. Then I go through the leads from the previous day to see if I still have callback appointments. I mainly call for Argo projects, I call farmers every day to see what our customers can do for them on both a fiscal and financial level. I like to talk to farmers because they are straightforward and always want to have a chat. Furthermore, I pick up my postponed posts and tickets in the afternoon.
What do you enjoy most about your position at Convins?
What I like most about my job are the multifaceted contacts I have with farmers. They often have interesting stories to tell, and it is an art to listen carefully, think along with them and then provide valuable information. That way, after making an appointment, I can complete the conversation with satisfaction.
How do you experience the team at Convins?
I'm in the independent room and we have a nice team. We encourage each other to get better at what we do and we work in a pleasant working environment in which we grow together and enjoy our work.
Now something more personal...
What are your hobbies?
In my spare time, I have a few favorite pastimes that I really enjoy. First of all, I love to watch movies and football on television. In addition, I love gaming and when the weather permits, I like to put on my hiking boots and go out into nature for a refreshing walk.
What is your work background?
I started as a receptionist/telephone operator, then I grew to senior secretary. Subsequently, I followed an administrative training course at the OSR, where I immersed myself in various areas of law in legal practice. After completing my education, I started working in legal departments at various organizations, including the ACP (Police Union), TenneT TSO and Nysingh Law Firm.
Over time, I noticed that it would be more convenient to better connect my work to my private life, especially because of our children. This led me to a new challenge at the Vriendenloterij/Postcode Lottery, where I was allowed to go to football matches throughout the Netherlands. This was a very nice period in which I had a lot of fun.
After my time at the lottery, I ended up at Convins, where I have been working for about 5 years now.
What are your dreams/ambitions?
I might want to look at other job opportunities within Convins, but it has to fit my skills and interests. My dream is to one day be able to buy a house in a warm country to stay there with my family during the winter period.
Which 2 items would you take with you to a desert island?
If I could take just two items to a desert island, my family would absolutely be one of those items. In addition, I would choose food to survive.
Now just a little sporty...
Do you practice a sport and to what extent does this affect your drive/performance in the workplace?
Although I don't really practice a specific sport, I enjoy hiking immensely. For me, this is not only a physical activity, but also a way to relax my mind and organize my thoughts. The regular walking helps me to keep my energy up and improve my overall well-being, which definitely has a positive impact on my performance in the workplace.
Suppose you get to pick one workout for the rest of your life, which one will you choose and why?
If I had to choose one workout for the rest of my life, I would choose walking.
