About your work at Convins....
What is your position & What does an average workday at Convins look like?
"As an IT project coordinator, my workday starts with processing mail and filling in the calendar. Then, for example, I participate in a kick-off meeting for a new client; this means listening attentively, writing in carefully and asking the right questions so that we have all the necessary information to run a successful project. Then I usually go into the next meeting: for example, a mid-term evaluation on an ongoing project. Followed by some small things: for example, adjusting a project in the portal, putting out a change for a project and answering substantive questions.
I also often have an adjustment moment planned for a fun new project which our IT acquisitors can then quickly get to work on. Meanwhile, the mailbox is overflowing, so I quickly pick it up. At the end of the day, I briefly read up on some complex IT topics a client was talking about. At Convins, every working day is different and that's exactly what makes my dynamic job so much fun!"
What do you enjoy most about your position at Convins?
"For me, my job means contributing to the digital transformation of the world. More concretely: ensuring that our clients' beautiful IT solutions are clearly translated to their potential customers, so that they come out better together."
How do you experience the team at Convins?
"Driven: everyone works hard toward a common goal. Sociable: there are plenty of jokes to enjoy. Close-knit: the team feels like one big family."
Now something more personal...
What are your hobbies?
''Spending time with my girlfriend, playing guitar, gaming with friends, watching movies/series, D&D and getting lost on the Internet."
What is your work background?
"Like (almost) every Westlander, I worked in the greenhouse for the necessary years. Then I got involved in managing events and supervising attractions. From planning for 15 full buses with 40 entertainers to modeling balloons myself. Pretty diverse! From driving a jeep on the beach to playing theater for children in Slovenia, I've done it all! The last 4 years I produced E-sports (sports television by professional gamers) broadcasts. This started on a small scale in the Netherlands, and eventually I ended up for a year in Berlin at the biggest E-sports competitions in Europe: the LEC."
What are your dreams/ambitions?
"Very boring this; but after so many adventures, a happy and stable life with my girlfriend is all I want. We have many fun plans, so we have a desire for children. Of course we hope it may come true, but at least it's on our roadmap!"
Which 2 items would you take with you to a desert island?
"A guitar and a basketball with a face on it (for movie fans ????)."
Now just a little sporty...
Suppose you get to pick one workout for the rest of your life, which one will you choose and why?
"I don't currently practice any sports anymore; however, I have always been a fan of rowing and swimming. So I would probably choose that"
